Renovating your home is a big undertaking. Whether it’s updating a bathroom, modernizing a kitchen or giving your outdoor space a new look, it’s best to know what to expect before you start a renovation project.

Our renovation team at Gamble Home Services are award-winning designers and are here to educate and guide you through the entire process. Below, we have answered three top questions we commonly receive from remodeling and renovation clients.

What do I need to start this project?

The devil is in the details, and when it comes to deciding what you really want your home to look like, some clients become overwhelmed with choices. The truth is when you consider all the elements, such as overall style, textures, colors, finishes, hardware, and much more, there is no end to the options available to you.

That’s why you need a design and planning team who knows what they are doing and who can guide you through the decision-making process.

The design and planning team at Gamble Home Services has won numerous awards for our work, and, recently, we were recognized as ‘Best of Houzz’ in client satisfaction. We can offer you expert advice and help you with every detail of your remodeling and renovation project.

Will this job be completed on time and on budget?

GHS did a great job for us. They kept us informed every step of the way. This was particularly important since we were not on site for the renovation. They provided great guidance and problem solving. Most importantly to us, they were able to complete the project by the designated date.

Trust is probably the biggest issue in a remodeling and renovation project. You have to have faith and trust in your design and contracting team. If we were to name any one factor in our successful remodeling/renovation projects, it would have to be clear communication.

Gamble Home Services has helped clients create their dream homes since 1994. Over that time, we have developed a great amount of experience and expertise, and we also know how to clearly communicate with our clients. This starts with design planning and continues throughout the entire project management process.

Am I hiring a contractor that understands how to handle every aspect of the job from beginning to end?

Your contractor must know how to design the perfect renovation project for you and take you through each step with care and diligence. He needs to understand that this is your baby and that each stage must be handled with attention to detail. The relationship you form with your contractor must be based on trust and respect.  It’s the bond that forms that will let you know your contractor it is taking this project on as his own.

Communication through each step is key. You must know how things are progressing.  You should get regular email updates with pictures. If there are unforeseen issues that require changes, they should be explained clearly.

At the end of your project, your contractor should walk you through the project to ensure that you are satisfied. He should stand by his work until you are truly happy with the results.
